A beach footballer shows his skills at Westway |
We won’t let football world kick sand in our faces any more!
WE might be languishing in the world rankings somewhere below Belgium and Ukraine, but when you swap the turf for golden sands, it seems we’re world beaters!
Beach soccer is the sport, if a little out of season, and budding bare-footed champions were put through their paces in a special masterclass from the England team under the Westway this week.
The trick count was higher than at a kick-about on Copacobana beach, and there was not a bucket or spade in sight for the crowds who turned out to watch the spectacle.
