West End | News | Westminster Council £350m development of Paddington Basin
WESTMINSTER Council has appointed an architect to oversee the £350 million redevelopment of Paddington basin.
Farrells have been given the responbility of transforming the neglected waterway between North Wharf Road and Harrow Road into an urban village teeming with life. A detailed planning proposal is likely to be submitted within the next 12 months.
Project leader Neil Bennett said: “Our proposals provide a remarkable opportunity to create a development which will re-establish the heart of Paddington, one of Londons “lost” town centres. |
