After £300,000 and 10 weeks’ hard work,
it’s time for play

CHILDREN at Essendine Primary School in Maida Vale are celebrating the revamp of their play centre.
After a £300,000 spend and 10 weeks of hard labour the building is open for after-school clubs and parenting services among other activities.
Following the makeover the building now features new lighting, toilets and kitchenettes on both floors.
Cabinet member for children’s services Councillor Sarah Richardson said: “This new high quality space will be a real boost for the school and the community.
“Not only will several groups be able to deliver services under one roof bringing the community together – children will also be given maximum opportunity to take part in a range of activities in a much improved environment.”
