West End Extra - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 18 April 2008

A lesson for the Tories

THE news that the governors at Quintin Kynaston School have decided to opt for foundation status is another indicator that Westminster secondary schools and parents see no future for them with the Conservatives running local schools.
Very soon there will no secondary schools in Westminster which are run by the local council – an abysmal record for a council which laughingly claims to be the best in the world.
Everyone knows that Westminster Conservatives gave up on secondary education many years ago.
Now, finally, Westminster secondary schools and parents have given up on Westminster Conservatives.
Cllr Paul Dimoldenberg
Leader of the Labour Group
Westminster City Council
