Olympic champion Jonathan Edwards ‘spars’ with Mayor of Westminster, Carolyn Keen |
Jonathan is in our corner for the olympics!
FORMER Olympic triple jumper and world record holder Jonathan Edwards will act as Westminster’s ambassador at the Olympic Games.
Along with sporting greats Giles Long and Ben Challenger, Mr Edwards will represent the borough when it hosts three events at the 2012 Games around Hyde Park, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace.
Mr Edwards, MBE, said: “I have a strong bond with Westminster so I am gland to contribute to the success of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games within the borough.”
The trio made their pledge of support during the Get Set London Roadshow in Paddington this week.
