Pickpocket pair get six months
TWO prolific pickpockets who lifted mobile phones and digital cameras from unsuspecting Tube passengers have been jailed for six months.
In an Artful Dodger, Oliver Twist style tag team, Mihai Nastase, 20, and Gabriel Botea, 19, both from East Ham, worked Piccadilly station.
They were caught when plain-clothes officers noticed them acting suspicously on March 1.
A search yielded three mobile phones and digital cameras.
When interviewed by the detectives, Mr Nastase confessed to stealing items from passengers while Mr Botea acted as look out. |
