Appeal to trace Norwegian student’s clothing

DETECTIVES have made an urgent appeal to help them trace a designer outfit belonging to a Norwegian socialite who was found dead on Sunday two days after friends reported her missing.
Martine Vik Magnussen, 23, was found buried under a pile of rubble in the basement of a block of flats in Great Portland Street. Police want to interview Farouk Abdulhak, the son of an Arab billionaire. Mr Abdulhak lives at the address where her body was found.
Last night (Thursday) they released details of the luxury outfit worth thousands of pounds. It includes a Guess watch, Marc Jacobs bag, jeans, snakeskin shoes and a costume ‘diamond’ ring.
Mr Abdulhak, 21, a friend and fellow student of Ms Magnussen at Regent’s Business School, is believed to have flown to Yemen, his country of birth, on Saturday. On Tuesday police issued an urgent appeal to dscover his whereabouts.
They believe he was among the last people to have seen Ms Magnussen alive shortly before she left the members-only Maddox nightclub in Mayfair in the early hours of Friday.
Det Chief Inspector Jessica Wadsworth said: “We believe he holds important information, which could assist us.”
Mr Abdulhak had grown up in London and studied business with Miss Magnussen at the Regent’s Park college.
Her parents, brother and sister flew into London on Sunday before a post-mortem at Westminster Coroner’s Court, which revealed Ms Magnussen had suffered “significant injuries to her neck”.
Anyone with information is urged to call the incident room on 020 8358 0300; or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
