OAP set to Buster gut for marathon!
AT 101, most people are just happy to be alive, but not content with that Buster Martin has set his sights on becoming the oldest man to complete the London marathon.
Mr Martin, who still works at a plumbing firm, has recently broken two world records, becoming the oldest man to run a half-marathon, and the only centenarian to notch up 13 miles earlier this month.
Mr Martin said he was doing the 26-mile event because he was “bored”.
He said: “It can’t be any harder than not getting caught in the war!”
He will hit the streets on April 13 to raise money for his chosen charity, the Rhys Daniels Trust.
