LSE students fired-up for dragons' competition

BUDDING entrepreneurs from the London School of Economics are hoping to raise £250,000 in a Dragon’s Den-style charity competition at the Landmark Hotel, Marylebone.
Natalie Phillips and Tania Barnes are heading a team of six LSE students in the nationwide Prince’s Trust Profitunity competition. They have been given £500 to start up a business and must persuade experienced mentors to back their plan.
The event aims to give students the chance to learn business skills while raising money for disadvantaged young people. Teams that raise the most money will present their business ventures to a judging panel of business leaders.
Natalie said: “We want the LSE team to raise the most money for disadvantaged young people through the Prince’s Trust, and appeal to City firms and other London businesses to help us.”
The charity dinner and auction is on February 16.
