Explosives and guns haul at home

A HAUL of deadly explosives has been discovered at an exclusive Marylebone address.
Military detonators and explosives were discovered in the Devonshire Mews North property. Detectives say the bomb equipment was powerful enough to “lift a car off the ground”.
Five ballistic vests and specialist surveillance listening devices were also discovered at the flat during the raid in June.
In the basement was a brand-new Porsche Cayenne and a Bentley – worth £200,000. The cars’ boots were filled with ammunition and semi-automatic guns.
A 48-year-old man was arrested for possession of firearms and explosives.
Aden Dervan pleaded guilty in Southwark Crown Court on Monday to two counts of possession of explosives and one count of possession of a firearm and ammunition.
He will be sentenced later this month.
Detective Chief Inspector Sean Wanless said: “The Met were able to recover explosives and ammunition, which could have been used for criminality.”
