Welcome cash injection to services

KEN Livingstone has given a £2.7 million boost to Westminster youth services.
The funding is part of a £79 million package announced yesterday for young Londoners.
Karen Buck, MP for Regent’s Park and Kensington North, said: “This is extremely good news. Westminster has received one of the larger allocations in London, which is a welcome recognition of the fact that areas such as Church Street and Westbourne have very high levels of need. We have got some excellent new youth facilities, such as the Stowe and Avenues clubs, but they are not open as much as we need, and there also remains a desperate shortage of good outreach services.”
