Shop fined

A SHOP caught selling alcohol to a 14-year-old girl ­has been fined £1,000. Husseyin Kocakol, ­owner of Quality Food and Wine in Harrow Road, pleaded guilty at the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court and was also ordered to pay Westminster council’s court costs.

Green dream

ENVIRONMENT ­campaigners London Rising Tide delivered “a box of atmosphere” to delegates at the Aviation Emissions Trading ­Summit at Selfridges Hotel in Orchard Street on Wednesday to ­highlight climate change through flights.

Road reopens

THE West End’s Old Quebec Street, which links the western end of Oxford Street to ­Seymour Street, near Marble Arch, has had a £600,000 makeover. The street’s reopening ­heralds the start of the council’s £40 million Oxford, Regent and Bond Street Action Plan.
