Cross-faith agreement that’s a lesson in understanding
MUSLIMS from the Westminster Islamic Community Centre hosted a special ceremony this week to thank the Christian Congregation of St Saviours and Jews
from West London Synagogue for finding them a place to pray during Ramadan.
The Westminster Islamic Community Centre were struggling to find a place for Taraweeh Muslim prayers. Westminster’s pioneering Faith Exchange, forging links between religious communities, found them a place to pray with the Jewish community.
Revd Matthew Woodward of St Saviours and Rabbi Winer, Chief Rabbi at West London Synagogue and Executive Committee member of the faith exchange, gave up their community centre for free.
