The smell of fear grips Soho streets

A TOXIC smell sparked a counter-terror investigation in Soho on Tuesday.
Police sealed off parts of Chinatown fearing a biological attack only to find that a pot of burning chillies caused the stink. Terror cops kicked down the door of the Thai Cottage in D’Arblay Street and firefighters were called.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “The street was closed off for three hours while we were trying to discover the source of the odour.”
