Teen intruder stabs school caretaker

A CARETAKER was stabbed in the stomach after confronting two teenagers inside a Maida Vale primary school on Monday.
The 36-year-old challenged two teenagers climbing over the gates of St Peter’s School in Chippenham Mews.
The teenagers, believed to be 15 and 17 years old, claimed they were former pupils of the Church of England primary. One punched him in the face and the other stabbed him in the stomach, police said.
The victim was taken to St Marys Hospital and his condition is described as stable.
Westminster Council’s schools chief Steve Farnsworth speaking on behalf of St Peter’s School said: “The school caretaker spotted two youths trying to climb over the school gates. He approached the pair to ask them to stop and an altercation took place which led to the caretaker being stabbed in the side of the stomach.
“He was taken to St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, but his condition was not life-threatening and he has now been released to return home.
“The incident took place after the school had closed and no children were on the site at the time.”
If anyone has any knowledge about this incident, or saw the youths run from the scene, they are asked to contact CID at Paddington Green police station on 020 7321 8501, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
