Inter-faith play programme a hit with kids

CHILDREN and young people from St John’s Wood Adventure Playground and Brent Refugee Project have been participating in an inter-faith play programme.
The programme involved a visit to the Liberal Jewish Synagogue in St John’s Wood Road, which was then followed a trip to the St Marylebone Parish Church and ended at the London Central Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre in Regent’s Park.
Abdul-Raheem Green, the visits
co-ordinator at the mosque said: “I appreciated their interest and the opportunity to discuss Islam with them.”
The youngsters were also joined by Imam Shahid Hussain, director of Muslim Services Limited and Chaplain to St Mary’s Hospital. “We’ll have to learn from such a programme. Innovative and inspirational.”
