Pupils of the Rambert Dance Company go through their routines in the park |
Drama students present free dancing in the park
BUDDING drama students performed site-specific techniques in Regent’s Park on Monday.
Pupils of the Rambert Dance Company, have been honing their skills at the Hub.
The teeangers are developing dance technique, choreography and learning sections of repertoire, with a grand performance on Friday afternoons in August at 1.45pm.
The piece is inspired by Canadian choreographer André Gingras.
The young people will also work with the Wild in the Parks team who will lead wildlife observation sessions which will feed into the choreographic work created.
Rob Millet, who works with Rambert’s Associate Orchestra London Music, will be composing new live music to accompany the work. The scheme, called Outside, is free and is open to young people across London. It encourages participants to think about having a healthy, active lifestyle, to dance, be creative and interact with the natural world. |
