Post Office protest

SHERLOCK Holmes turned his investigative eye on the planned Post Office closures on Friday.
The super sleuth was at a protest outside Baker Street post office, where staff were protesting at plans to close 85 post offices and open post counters in WH Smith instead.
Baker Street post office is safe for the time being, but union reps fear it may close when the lease runs out next year.
Huw Davies, regional organiser for the Communications Workers Union, said: “They’re getting rid of well-paid, well-pensioned jobs and putting them into WH Smith for just over minimum wage.”
