Five-month closure for Lisle Street revamp

A WEST End street is to be closed to traffic for five months as part of a multi-million pound revamp of Chinatown.
Lisle Street, which lies between Wardour Street and Newport Place, will be shut to all vehicles from August.
It is scheduled to reopen in time for the Chinese New Year celebrations on February 7 2008 – the Year of the Rat.
Diversion signs will be in place informing motorists of alternative routes to take while the work is carried out.
