THE West End’s largest- ever casino opens in Leicester Square next week.
The £16 million gambling den, which is set over two floors of the Empire Ballroom, will cater for up to 1,700 guests.
The Las Vegas-style casino is the first of its kind since plans for a similar casino in Earls Court were scrapped.
A spokeswoman for London Clubs International said the super casino would be a “welcome addition” to the West End.
But Henry Conlon, who lives in Charing Cross Road, said it would increase disturbance. He said: “If it brings any life to the area, it will be low life.”
A gala opening is set for June 5. |
