West End Extra - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 20 April 2007

So where do our taxes go?

IT was bound to come – bound to. With Westminster City Council underwriting any number of marginal causes, it was bound to be strapped for cash and put the bite on taxpayers for use of the (previously free) computers in the libraries.
The services which we have come to expect as services in consequence of having paid our council taxes are no longer services.
They have become privileges and we have to pay for them.
So what is being done with our council taxes? Does anyone know? Does anyone care?
