West End Extra - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 13 April 2007

Council green hypocrisy

• I am sick of the hypocrisy of Camden Council who spend our money persuading us to recycle and then take away the recycling bins so that we now give our poor caretaker double the work clearing away all our rubbish, which then goes into landfills.
It makes me think of our previous manager who, in order to save money, used to burn our rubbish on the estate next to the railway wall. It, of course, made pollution of carcinogenic particles which may have accounted for the larger than average number of people that died of cancer on this estate. And he left because of ill health.
