Young and old jive back the clock

SCHOOLCHILDREN and pensioners were jiving and jitterbugging together at a unique tea dance recreating 1940s Britain.
Schools and care homes from across Westminster came together at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden on Friday to show you are never too young or too old to have a dance.
The inter-generational tea dance harked back to the community spirit of the tea dances during World War II, which kept Britain smiling and dancing in its darkest hour.
