Fall in police

WESTMINSTER has lost more than 50 police officers in two years according to figures obtained by Liberal Democrats under the Freedom of Information Act.
The total number of police officers in Westminster fell from 1,602 to 1,551 between April 2004 and April 2006.
Mark Blackburn, a candidate for Abbey Road Ward, said: “These figures reveal the reality of Labour’s record on law and order and I’m amazed that Westminster Council is not demanding a reversal of this trend.
