Party to raise funds... for a trek to raise funds

SOHO businessmen enjoyed a steamy burlesque night in Piccadilly yesterday (Thursday) – but this was no ordinary night out.
Senior executives from consulting firm Capgemini, in Wardour Street, danced to hits from Moulin Rouge at the Café de Paris in Piccadilly to raise money for a trek across the Namibian Desert.
Twenty-four management consultants from the Soho firm are today (Friday) setting off to make the weeklong 200-mile trek braving temperatures of almost 40 degrees.
They are hoping to raise funds for The Prince’s Trust in a London-wide competition. Celebrity guests at Thursday’s party included trust ambassador Helen Lederer, Olympic gold medallist Tessa Sanderson CBE, BBC presenter Rene Carayol, Tim Campbell, Winner of TV series The Apprentice and many more.
Ms Lederer said: “What a fabulously cheeky idea to raise funds for a good cause. While trekking across the desert doesn’t sound like amy idea of fun, I’m in awe of everyone who is taking up this challenge.”
