Chancellor Gordon Brown chats to young athletes at Grey Coat Hospital School
Chancellor outlines his olympics dream

CHANCELLOR Gordon Brown and Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell visited Grey Coat Hospital School on Wednesday.
They were at the all-girls Church of England school in Greycoat Place, Victoria, to announce an international competition for teenagers called the UK School Games in 2008.
It is hoped one school athlete from Westminster will make the grade.
Mr Brown, who was impressed with a sporting display of fencing and gymnastics by pupils, said: “This school is the perfect example of the great sports facilities in schools across Britain and their achievements.
“This is the most exciting time ever for sport in our country. We have won the Olympics and we have a huge amount of enthusiasm behind making London the centre of sport.”
Ms Jowell added: “The UK School Games gives our most talented school-age athletes the chance to compete as if they were taking part in an international competition. The crowds and cameras will help them learn that all-important big-match temperament.”
Grey Coat has retained its Sportsmark Award and boasts a modern sports hall equipped for volleyball, gymnastics, and indoor sports.
