17 employs ageing formula

17 AGAIN

Directed by Burr Steers
Certificate PG

LIKE Big, the Tom Hanks film of yesteryear, or Freaky Friday, which was deemed such comic value it was made firstly in the 1970s and then updated (pretty badly as is usual with these types of remakes) in the 1990s, 17 Again considers the beauty of the age swap.
What happens when someone of a certain age finds themselves trapped in another generations body?
17 Again features Zac Enfron, who trades his middle-aged paunch for the body of a teenager and then has to watch his daughter get into the sort of scrapes fathers would rather not know about.
Smoothly produced, with some moments of mirth, 17 Again is not quite cinematic Botox, but will bring a youthful flush about the chops.
