The Secret of Moonacre
This flick follows the adventures of 13-year-old orphan Maria Merryweather (Dakota Blue Richards) who goes to live with her uncle Sir Benjamin (Ioan Gruffudd) at his rambling pile Moonacre Manor.
Sir B is grumpy as they come – his heart was broken and he has hidden away, nursing his wounds.
And all is not well beyond the closed doors of the Manor: a centuries-old curse has has hung over the Moonacre Valley and now little Maria must do what she can before the next full moon to save the place.
Staple fantasy fare for the young teens, Moonacre includes Tim Curry, Natascha McElhone and Juliet Stevenson on its roster.

The Good, The Bad, The Weird
This Korean Western is set in the Manchurian desert in the 1930s.
It tells the story of a bandit, a train robber and a mercenary who team up to track
down a mysterious treasure map.
They have to see off the Japanese army and various other heavily armed undesirables.
A funny mix of Asian comedy with cowboy flick undertones – silly but all the better for it.
