Collage art a cut above

ETHEL Shoul was head of art at William Ellis School until she retired 11 years ago. Since then her career as an artist has taken off, and former pupils were among those at the preview of an exhibition of her work at Burgh House, Hampstead on Friday. Entitled Scissors, Paper, Steel, Ethel’s collages, paint­ings and drawings are complemented by Marcus Berns’ welded steel sculptures which share the exhibition space.
