Pick of the Indies
THIS Sunday sees a rare screening of Come and See, the 1985 epic by Russian film maker Elem Klimov.
Described by JG Ballard as the “greatest war film ever made”, the film tracks the life of Florya, a partisan fighter battling Nazi German soldiers, during the invasion of Belorussia in 1943.
The film lays bare the horrors of the Nazi invasion. The screening is followed by a discussion chaired by Brunel University film studies lecturer Mike Wayne.
