Youth jam to sweeten Arsenal ground
THE Emirates Stadium will be steeped in jewellery, T-shirts, henna and world music in a festival of culture organised by Finsbury Park Youth.
The Finsbury Park Youth Forum’s Culture Jam next week Saturday (November 22), will be the group’s biggest-ever event, with plans to attract hundreds of residents.
The youth forum is a group of 13 to 19-year-olds who act as representatives of youth in the community.
Expect good food, face-painting, crafts and a wide range of attractions.
Talal Karim, chief executive of FinFuture, which represents residents, businesses and charities in the area, said: “I am so proud of the young members of this forum. They have given up so much of their free time and worked so hard to produce and promote this wonderful event that celebrates the ethnic diversity in Islington.” |
