Islington Tribune - by PETER GRUNER

Cally Road dug up again

THE Caledonian Road is being dug up for the third time this year, this time opposite the Co-op and the Bemerton estate, causing major disruption for traffic.
Caledonian Labour councillor Paul Convery said: “They had the road up about four weeks ago for a broken sewer. Apparently it’s the same problem again.”
The work is going on on the southbound carriageway adjacent junction with Bridgman Road. Thames Water, who are doing the work, have only just renewed the water mains and Islington Council recently relaid the entire roadway.
“This is very bad for the carriageway condition,” said Cllr Convery, “and is a serious nuisance for traders”.
