Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 11 September 2009

Sobell spruce-up

• I AM pleased to hear that Councillor Ruth Polling will give a talk on “Protecting Islington’s Heritage” to Islington Archaeology and History Society at Islington Town Hall at 8pm on October 21.
As this is a strictly non-party-political meeting, it will provide Cllr Polling with an excellent opportunity to make a clear statement on the whole-community matter of the future of the Sobell Centre – an important part of local heritage that the council has a responsibility to maintain.
With the controversial redevelopment project for Sobell on hold indefinitely, I look forward to hearing her non-party-political comments on possible future refurbishment of the centre so I can make all Sobell users and local residents aware of these.
BARRY HILL
Sobell User Representative
