Get to grips with judo
• I AM working as a volunteer parent with Sobell Judo Club in Islington, currently in its 36th year. The club has been led for more than 20 years by Sam Sampson, one of its early students and a champion with 300 gold medals to his name.
Last year, as a result of some promotional work, we succeeded in increasing participation of children and adults in the training sessions. This year, we intend to launch a schools programme that will be based at St Mary Magdalene Academy.
