Giants of the Emirates: Legendary players embrace stadium
FORMER Arsenal heroes standing shoulder to shoulder, this is the first glimpse of an artist’s impression of a new mural set to be hung on the side of the Emirates Stadium.
Eight giant artworks, featuring 32 players from different ages including Thierry Henry, Cliff Bastin and Tony Adams, will wrap around the football ground at Ashburton Grove. Arsenal are waiting for consent from the council before assembling the new look for the stadium. Amanda Docherty, Arsenal’s head of communications, said: “There will be a real mix of modern legends along with those right back to the 1930s. It’s like a team huddle, like all the players are embracing the stadium. ” |
