Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 31 July 2009

Chicken feed gaffe

• BORIS Johnson claims that being paid £250,000 a year for writing a column in the Daily Telegraph is chicken feed. If I am not mistaken, this works out at about £5,000 a week.
I am sure many of London’s workers on the minimum wage would be happy to get a fraction of that.
His statement shows this Tory mayor’s contempt for the majority of us.
Even his supporters in the Croydon suburbs are having doubts. His statements are foul and deserve our opposition.
