Machete attack foiled

A KEBAB shop worker’s son fended off a machete-wielding attacker as he struck at a take-away on Saturday.
Eyewitnesses described seeing a man in his mid-40s come into the takeaway in Hazelville Road, Holloway, just after 3.30pm and attack a member of staff with a machete. The victim’s son managed to wrestle the machete from the attacker, who ran off having received cuts to his head and hands.
The suspect was later picked up by a passer-by and taken to hospital. He is being treated for non life-threatening injuries. Anyone with information can call 0800 555 111.
