Careers advice all in a day’s work

SAFER Neighbourhoods officers are holding a careers day for young people in Stroud Green.
The event, which takes place on Thursday, August 6, is open to anyone aged between 14 and 25 and offers advice on jobs, careers, education and, youth groups.
Stroud Green Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) and Haringey Council have collaborated to run the event at Stroud Green Primary School in Perth Road.
The day will feature representatives from colleges, London Fire Brigade, The Army, The Royal Air Force, North London Garages Training, Home Start Haringey and many more.
SNT Sergeant Bob Stevenson said: “We want to show our young people what is out there for them to get involved in.
“This event will hopefully encourage them to get involved
in constructive activities and steer clear of negative influences.”
