Baseball bat attack on driver

A MOTORIST is recovering in hospital after being beaten on the head with a baseball bat by another driver in Holloway.
Islington police believe the attack was unprovoked and are not treating it as a case of road rage.
Detectives are searching for witnesses following the attack just after 10.30pm on Monday in Holloway Road.
The 22-year-old victim was driving in slow traffic when a motorist behind him jumped out of the car armed with what is believed to have been a baseball bat, and beat him over the head through an open window.
The driver, described as slim, in his late teens, with a shaved head and wearing dark clothes, then returned to his silver-grey car and drove off towards Palmers Place. The victim was left with serious head injuries, which police say are not life-threatening. He remains in a stable condition
Anyone who witnessed the attack can call Detective Constable Lee Marriott at Islington CID on 0207 421 0195.
