Grafton School pupils who helped to brighten Nag’s Head: Benjamin Lewis, Ben Ihucherenoma, Pevruze Bellikli, Nurselim Tekin, Adelina Salihi, Dajana Balla and Mert Hyta
Clear Head! Employees join pupils to give area a makeover

A TIRELESS team of local helpers gave up their time to give Nag’s Head a makeover for summer.
Young and old came together to help Islington Council give the well-known stretch of Holloway Road some extra love and care.
Council workers deep-cleaned Bowmans Mews and around local business premises, and removed chewing-gum from Seven Sisters Road.
Staff from a local McDonald’s restaurant carried out a litter pick and cleaned street signs, while workers from Morrisons cleaned fencing to their car park and washed pillars.
Meanwhile, youngsters from Grafton Primary School litter-picked and helped to put plants in the garden next to their playground.
Islington Council’s deputy leader Councillor Lucy Watt said: “Nag’s Head is a busy and well-loved area and we work hard to make it look as good as possible. We’ve worked to eliminate the illegal cigarette sellers from the area, and brighten up Nag’s Head with our annual display of flowers.
“I’d like to thank everyone who came out on such a grey day to show that cleaning up the Nag’s Head really matters to them.”
In all, around 30 local employees and 30 school pupils joined council staff for the clean-up, which took place recently as part of the Londonwide Capital Cleanup.
