Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 26 June 2009

Parking at your peril

• I TOTALLY agree with your correspondent who inadvertently parked in a business bay (Signs of nasty times, January 16). The same thing happened to me and I even asked a warden if it was okay to park in the space. He said yes and I didn’t get a ticket on that day.
I parked there again when the road I usually park in was too full and found my car moved and with two tickets on it.
I always carefully check signs but as a new resident I don’t know what the hidden things are to look out for. I appealed against the last ticket and it seems the person who replied had not even read my letter. I end up paying for fear of it escalating into something I can’t handle.
