Celebrate this school
• I WISH I lived next to a school (School booms, but neighbours sound a warning, June 19). No noisy neighbours after 9pm; no drinking and smoking outside my front door at any time of day; and for some weeks of the year silence. Wow! Dream home.
Although I understand that any change in neighbours may cause distress, can we put it in perspective please? For the first time in many years there is a school in the heart of Islington, St Mary Magdalene Academy, that is good for the community, so let’s celebrate this.
Furthermore, health and safety regulations are strict in schools and there is no way this school will be able to outgrow its space.
