Fiona Connolly, Cllr Barry Edwards and Mary Michael, who took part in Sunday’s marathon
A ‘marathon’ charity bid!

HUNGERFORD School was represented by three people running the London Marathon on Sunday to raise money for the their scouts.
They were Labour councillor Barry Edwards, teacher governor Mary Michael, and parent governor Fiona Connolly.
Barry limped in on 4 hours 37 minutes and 23 seconds, and Mary and Fieona finished together on 6 hours, 20 minutes and 26 seconds.
Sisters Tina Searle and Yvonne Jones ran in memory of their mum and dad, Harry and Anita Searle, in support of the Parkinson’s Disease Society.
They thanked all the sponsors for helping them raise an excellent £3,618. “We both got round,” said Tina. “We’re feeling very, very pleased. Our parents would have been very proud.”

• There is still time to donate to the school fund and the scouts by sending a cheque to the school at Hungerford Road, London N7 9LF.
