Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 13 March 2009

Lost: my tree view

• WITNESSING the tree being slaughtered in Brecknock Road, Holloway, on Tuesday killed me inside. I could not believe the sight.

I live at the property concerned and know that the tree does not cause it any harm. Heavy vehicles and planes cause deafening vibrations and cracks in buildings.
That tree was probably 40 or 50 years old. People who use Bumblebee organic food shop would enjoy their lunch in the summer under the tree. Where will they go now?
A view I shall miss dearly till the day I die.
