Checking dust rules
• ANY system of rules is only as good as the monitoring that makes sure they are enforced. We are all living with the results of light-touch regulation in the banking sector.
The overseeing of contractors such as at Islington Green School is the responsibility of the council but it needs to be open about all it does or doesn’t do and to own up when mistakes occur (Demolition dust storm, January 30). It is only then that we can put our trust in it that all that should be done is being done.
