Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 30 January 2009

No sign of urgency

• THREE times last week I have been forced to abandon bus journeys due to incredible traffic snarl-ups caused by the replacement of gas mains at the Angel.
Deep holes and safety barriers were/are taking up much of the road width at what is already a chronic bottleneck. What was most infuriating was that the signs said these were “urgent” repairs but there was no sign of anyone working in the evening or at the weekend. Surely the importance and known traffic problems at this junction should have made it a 24/7 priority?
