Show of colour: Garden hosts exhibition

PENSIONER Harry Fenech has learning difficulties, but that hasn’t stopped him creating colourful paintings that can surprise and delight art connoisseurs.
Now a number of his works are going on show at Culpeper Community Garden in Angel from Thursday, January 29.
Harry, 71, is a member of Islington Alfrida Society’s Lost World Siren Art Group. The group has exhibited collectively but Harry is the first artist to have a solo exhibition.
He is a keen volunteer at the community garden, which offered to host his show to coincide with the opening of a new building there. Frank Hutson, a Siren joint manager, said: “Harry has a wonderful eye for colour, a powerful, instinctive style and that indefinable special something that makes his paintings memorable.”
Everyone is welcome to attend a viewing of the work at Culpeper Community Garden in Cloudesley Road from 6pm to 9pm on Thursday. All Harry’s paintings are for sale.
His work can also be seen online at www.theothersidegallery.org.
