Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 21 November 2008

After boom we’re bust

• THE free market will only ever provide boom and bust – boom always for the wealthy, and bust for the rest of us.
Many people have clung to the edges of the gravy train, trying to climb on board. The poorer 10 per cent of the population, and most pensioners, will never get on board unless we exert our strength in numbers.
But pessimism rules, those at the bottom of the pile, the poorest, always pay.
George Durack
Chairman, Islington Pensions Forum
