Tim Campbell
Enterprise week to fire up firms

A DRAGONS’ Den-style contest starring The Apprentice winner Tim Campbell is among the star attractions of this year’s Islington Enterprise Week.
The event, organised by Islington Council and business leaders, runs from November 17 to 21 and is designed to help firms and traders in a number of different ways.
From entrepreneurs dreaming of being the next Sir Alan Sugar to seasoned executives, it aims to have something to offer for all levels of business and experience, from speed-networking to a fashion expo.
Cllr Lucy Watt, Islington Council’s executive member for business, said: “We are determined to do everything we can to help local business.
“There may be doom and gloom about some parts of the economy, but we know there are many great companies in Islington and we want them to continue to flourish.”
Highlights include the chance for contestants to compete for £1,000 to help an idea with a social aim at a Dragons’ Den Social Enterprise event, at The Hub in King’s Cross on November 20.
Mr Campbell will be among the experts for the event which has been organised with The Hub, the British Library, Camden Council, Innovation Central, and Striding Out.
Other highlights include the Fashion Expo organised by City Fringe Partnership at Angel’s Business Design Centre on November 19, and Islington Chamber of Commerce’s Speed Networking event on November 24.
