Secretary jumped from 12th floor of tower block on birthday

A “REGIMENTALLY tidy” legal secretary who had lost her job leapt to her death from the 12th floor of a Holloway block, an inquest has heard.
Marsha Morson killed herself on her 29th birthday by jumping from her Hornsey Road home after taking an overdose of painkillers and drinking half a bottle of gin.
Despite being depressed about her weight – she had considered drastic surgery – and losing her job, she was “adamant” she would deal with her mental illness alone, according to doctors’ notes read out to the St Pancras inquest last Thursday.
They revealed she had attempted to take her life nine years earlier, telling doctors at Whittington Hospital in Archway at the time that she was upset at the break-up of a relationship.
Coroner’s officer Rod Quilter – the only person present at her inquest – described finding her flat “extremely tidy and almost regimental” on the day of her death in August.
He said her mobile phone had only one telephone number in it – that of her grandmother.
Although he found a window open and the door locked from the inside, he said there was “nothing to show she had any intentions” of taking her life, such as a suicide note or records on her laptop.
Coroner Dr Andrew Reid recorded a verdict of suicide after taking into account her history of depression.
